- Faith Lutheran baseball season is quickly approaching. Tryouts were on the 11th and 12th of February. Faith middle school baseball team has three new coaches. The head coach for the middle school A and B team is coach Fox. Coach Fox has a lot of experience with the Faith Lutheran baseball program. Then, the coach for the B team is coach Lee. Faith also has hired a new pitching coach. With new coaching, Faith baseball should improve throughout the program, helping the Crusaders to expand the draft pick out into Las Vegas, like Zach Trageton. (He was drafted to the Rays from Faith Lutheran High School with his 94 mile fast ball according to the Las Vegas Sun)
The baseball teams play in the Red Rock league, and a club ball league. The Red Rock league is for the B team, where they play against other schools in the valley. The club ball league is for most eight graders and a few seventh graders. In this league, students will play against club ball teams throughout the Las Vegas valley. In both leagues, it is a 90ft field. There will also be two umpires at every game. One at home plate calling balls and strikes, and the other in the infield watching the bases. Come out and support the baseball teams, and let’s bring home some victories! Go get them Crusaders!
