Snowboard and ski club

As the ski and snowboard club is soon coming upon the Faith Middle and High School students, it is time for them to start thinking about whether they want to join this club or not. This club will consist of fun trips to many places, not only in Nevada. Students who like to snowboard or ski should definitely join this club to meet new people and to just have a good time with friends. “ I decided to do this club because snowboarding is a lot of fun, and it is way more fun when your not with your parents and with all of your friends,” said seventh grader, Colton Fleitz. Some of the preparations that the students go through before all of the trips are, packing their bags, go shopping for some new equipment, and maybe some shopping for some new clothes. “Some of the exciting resorts the club will be visiting are, Brianhead Resort, Eagle Point, Las Vegas Ski and Snowboard Resort, and possible Mammoth Mountain,” said head advisor Bryan Carmichael. The first meeting about the club was held on December 6th in the library. The club plans on beginning their first trip the first or second weekend in January. The bus rides for some students is their favorite part of the trip. “ The bus ride there and back is one of my favorite parts of the trip since you get to hang out with your friends and just have a good time, even though you have to wake up really early in the morning,” said seventh grader, Anna Kate McLaurin. The club is for beginners as well as students and parents that already ski and snowboard. You do not have to have experience to be in this club.
