Knott’s Berry Farm

This year, and in years past, the seventh and eighth grade choir has taken a very exciting trip. The choir has been attending a music festival in California. Though the thought of this trip gives the middle school choir great joy, the questions are building throughout the entire school. Where is the trip this year? Will sixth grade attend? The festival is scheduled to take place at Knott’s Berry Farm in Anaheim California.

The middle school choir has reacted pretty postively to this upcoming trip. “I’m excited and it’s gonna be really fun,” says seventh grade choir member Olivia Tulak. “I think it’s great that we are going to Knott’s Berry Farm because one, it let’s us see other places and two, it helps us expand our music and let’s others hear it. It’s also a good experience for those who want to be musicians in the future, and it’s just a great experience in general,” says Dj Vinson another seventh grade choir member.

Many sixth graders had an opinion about the trip. “I’m not really mad, because we’ll get to go somewhere next year. I don’t know if we get to perform anyhwhere besides school but I will join middle school choir next year,” says Mia Stipp, a sixth grader in choir. Sadly, the sixth graders do not have a chance to go, but they will next year!

“We will be taking the trip between May 11 and May 12. We will be staying at the Knott’s Berry Farm Hotel. A day at Knott’s berry Farm will be enjoyed by all,”  says Mrs. Youmans, the choir teacher.

“We will continue this tradition for many years to come. We have been attending a music festival in California with middle school students for about 15 years,” explained Mrs. Youmans. The tradition of attending the music festival isnt going anywhere any time soon.
