Faith Lutheran’s middle school baseball team wrapped up the end of the 2014-2015 spring season. They ended with seven wins and nine losses and were eleventh place in the whole league.
The whole team’s batting average was over 300, and every player on the team scored at least on run.
“The season went very well for the A team, ‘said coach Jeff Sylvester “The whole team felt that they have improved a whole lot over this past season”.
At the beginning of the season, the team struck out six times at bat in their first game, but at their last game, they only struck out twice.
“I think that the whole team has improved a lot, and I think they will improve a lot more,” said eighth grader player Charles Bonus.
During the season, the team faced many hard challenges. One of their biggest challenges was playing Bishop Gorman’s team. One of their other biggest challenges was pitching.
“ We had trouble throwing strikes and getting good batters out, but we still ended up stopping them from scoring a lot,” said Bonus.
The team also played some other teams that were not vey hard for them to beat.
“ There were a few teams that seemed like they were not coached very veil and did not have the coaching staff like ours,” said Bonus.
During the season, the whole team tried to accomplish as many things as they could.
