Old favorite classics “come back to life” and become popular movies to watch

The movies “Annie,” “Grease,” “Titanic,” “Toy Story” and more have become some of the new favorite classics for students and even teachers. What makes them popular and interesting for people to watch?

Classics have become more and more popular over the years as the movies get older and older. According to Google, classic means “a work of art of recognized and established value which has been judged over a period of time to be of the highest quality and outstanding of its kind.”

Many classics have been a favorite to watch for many people. One reason that people watch classic movies because of the educational contents that the movie has in it.

An example of a classic movie that had a historical event in it became “Sound of Music.” “Sound of Music” shows the struggles and the events that happened during the World War II and also the musical culture that occurred during that time period.

In today’s world, there are lots of classics that became popular to many people. One of the classics students like includes “Annie.”

“‘Annie’ is my favorite classic because it is a nice story line and because the rich man takes a girl from an orphanage as his own even though at the beginning he does not want her,” said seventh grader Sadi Shearer.

Sometimes students watch classic movies for class.

“In choir, we are watching the ‘King and I,’” said seventh grader Annisa Seifzad.

The technology used today is different than what people used for classic movies back then when people discovered the green screen, which “turns out to become the best movie” according to science teacher, Brenda Beery.
