Middle School Principal, Sarah Heislen officially became Sarah Harper on December 30, 2014, when she married pharmaceutical representative Doug Harper.

The two met on www.match.com but “meeting online is just the venue,” Mrs. Harper said.

“I believe that God really did put us together because there is no other reason we would’ve met. He lived in Green Valley, and I live here in Vegas,” said Mrs. Harper. “There is no way I would’ve met him through anyone else. We believe that God really put us together, it just happened to be through the computer.”

Mr. Harper says that there’s a lot to love about Mrs. Harper.

“Her smile and the consistent positive outlook on life she has is very contagious, and energizes others,” said Mr. Harper via email. “She’s sincere, generous, and giving. I just couldn’t let her get away as she quickly got into my heart, and we fell in love very quickly which has deepened over the past year!”

The newlywed Harpers had their wedding on December 30, 2014. They wanted to share their ceremony with God and their families. Pastor Bo Brink officiated the ceremony at Faith Community Lutheran Church. It happened to be a small, intimate setting.

Even though the wedding looked small, Mr. and Mrs. Harper looked their best.

“Sarah looked amazing in her wedding dress, wow!” said Mr. Harper.

They then went to Tivoli Village for the reception and invited their many friends and co-workers.

Life has now been hectic for the new family. They moved into a new home in Peccole Ranch with Sarah’s kids, Clara and Lydia Heislen.

Although they purchased the house in October, they are still unpacking some boxes and upgrading and repairing their home at the same time.

“It’s still somewhat of a mess, but we know the dust will settle, and we will enjoy our new home,” Mr. Harper said.

The new home also includes good news for the family.

“It’s been so much better having everyone under the same roof,” said Mrs. Harper.

Even though life has been busy with the new change, the family has fun together. They enjoy activities such as going to church, the movies, and bowling.

“Her kids are great and so much fun to have around!” added Mr. Harper.

Mr. and Mrs. Harper live happily together and enjoy each other very much.

“The best part about being married is having a true partner and friend. It’s so awesome now that we can be together 24/7,” said Mrs. Harper.

Mr. Harper has a similar view of being married like Mrs. Harper.
“I truly view Sarah as a gift from God. For me, the best part about being married so far, is knowing she is there when I get home, and always available to me,” said Mr. Harper.
